revere和respect的区别

两个单词都表示“尊敬”的含义，但是二者的区别在于“尊敬”的程度。

「respect」一词用法最为广泛，不论对象皆可使用，但是却是双向的、互相的尊重，较少有尊敬的语气和高低之分；而「reverence」的尊敬程度较高，有个人敬畏之情。
